Help Finding Your Way

Therapy for Navigating Trauma, Loss, and Intimacy

Wondering If It’s Time for Therapy?

Are you or someone you love feeling overwhelmed by emotional pain or stress? Maybe you’re longing for a more connected, fulfilling relationship, or struggling to communicate with your partner. You might be grieving the loss of someone or something deeply meaningful. Or perhaps you’re simply wishing you could be accepted fully for who you are. If any of this resonates, I’m glad you found your way here.

Jack Copley is a Certified Sex Therapist who helps people struggling with trauma, grief, and religious sexual shame.

Hi, I’m Jack, and I help people feel more at home in their lives, their bodies, and their relationships.

That might mean working through grief or trauma, navigating relationship challenges, or healing from sexual shame. As a Licensed (Independent) Marriage and Family Therapist and an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, I help adults navigate a wide range of challenges. Some clients seek therapy to work through internal messages about sex. Others are trying to recover from a loss, improve communication with a partner, rebuild trust, manage anxiety, or simply feel better in their own bodies and minds.

Whatever brings you here, I provide a space where your story is honored—and where your healing doesn’t have to follow anyone else’s blueprint. Together, we’ll work at your pace, with approaches that respect your story, your values, and your goals.

And because I am open and affirming of all persons—regardless of sexual orientation, age, race, faith, marital status, or gender—you can trust that you will find acceptance and be taken seriously.

Therapy That’s Trauma-Informed, Affirming, and Practical

I use collaborative, body-informed approaches that have helped many people shift stuck patterns and have supported meaningful, lasting change.

In our work together, I integrate methods like…

  • EMDR

  • Brainspotting

  • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

  • Havening

  • TF-CBT

When working with couples, I draw from trusted approaches like…

  • The Gottmans

  • Sue Johnson’s Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy

  • Terrence Real’s Relational Life Therapy

We'll meet weekly to build momentum, and I often offer homework or practices to support your progress between sessions. We’ll track what’s working and adjust as needed—always centering on your experience and values.

Whatever brings you here, you deserve support that meets you with care and without judgment.

Whether your focus is on healing from sexual shame, navigating grief or trauma, improving emotional connection, or simply getting unstuck, I’d be honored to support you.

I offer secure Telehealth sessions across West Virginia and Ohio, with special focus on areas like Cincinnati and Charleston. Because of that, you can receive care from the comfort and privacy of your own space.

If you’re ready to learn more, I offer a free 15-minute consultation. Let’s talk about whether therapy with me feels like the right next step.
